Jazz on the Drive lives on at Apollo's Restaurant!
The spooky season is when I bring out standards with titles containing words like “ghost,” “devil,” “witch,” “black magic,” etc. I’m excited to have the wonderful Steve Holy joining me for this performance on bass. I’ve never had the chance to actually play a full gig with Steve so this will be choice! And also my long-time friend and musical colleague Bill Coon, who has a brand-new album out called Standard Elegance that is exquisite! You can listen/buy on Bandcamp and I can probably convince him to bring some CDs if you’re like me and prefer to have the physical item.

Vancouver Chamber Choir
I always love getting the call to sub in with the Vancouver Chamber Choir and this fall I get to sing with them for two programs:
The Vancouver Chamber Choir appears with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Otto Tausk to perform Gabriel Fauré’s sublime Requiem, with soprano Sarah Dufresne and baritone Xiaomeng Zhang. In addition, we will perform a beautiful choral work from Brahms, Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny), Op. 54. Also on the program is Berg’s Violin Concerto which will feature Maria Milstein.
